OKB-122: Norton Antivirus message, “Norton is waiting to scan Onfolio My Feeds.cfs” appears whenever you access Onfolio

Some users of Nortion Antivirus 2004 have reported that they receive the message "Nortion is waiting to scan Onfolio MyFeeds.cfs" when using the Onfolio Feed Reader. While this message is displayed, Onfolio Feeds data is inaccessible. This will only occur if you have Norton Antivirus configured to 'scan within compressed files'.

This is occuring because Norton is trying to scan the file that contains the Feed data used by Onfolio. As you subscribe to more feeds, the amount of data to be scanned grows, and the delay while waiting for Norton to complete the scan can become long.

There are two solutions to this problem:

Disable scanning of compressed files

You can disable scanning of compressed files (WARNING: This will affect the scanning of non Onfolio compressed files)

To accomplish this, you can deselect 'scan within compressed files' in the 'Auto-Protect' section of Norton Antivirus options.

Add .cfs to the exclusions list

You can add .cfs to the exclusions list (this prevents Norton from scanning all .cfs format files)

To accomplish this, you can select 'exclusions' in the 'Auto-Protect' section of Norton Antivirus options and then add an exclusion for "*.cfs".
