OKB-126: Poor performance in Onfolio for users of PC-cillin
Some users of PC-cillin have reported that they are experiencing poor performance while working in Onfolio.
This is occuring because PC-cillin is trying to scan your collection and feed files after you make any changes. As your files become larger, this delay can become longer.
There are two solutions to this problem:
Disable Scanning of Compressed Files
Users of PC-cillin 2005 can disable scanning of compressed files (WARNING: This will affect the scanning of non Onfolio compressed files)
Go to PC-cillin settings
Go to the "Real-Time Scanning" section
Go to "Exception Files"
Deselect "Scan for viruses within compressed files"
Add your collection and feeds files as exceptions to PC-cillin scanning
Go to PC-cillin settings
Go to the "Real-Time Scanning" section
Go to "Exception Files"
Hit the "Add file" button and browse to your MyFeeds.cfs. This is located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Onfolio (note: The Windows Explorer option to "show hidden files and folders" needs to be turned on in order to view this location. You can verify that it is by proceeding to Windows Explorer - "Tools" Menu - "Folder Options" - "File" tab)
Hit the "Add Folder" button and browse to your "My Collections" directory. By default this is C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Collections
Use "Add File" or "Add Folder" as appropriate for any additional Onfolio collection files on your system that you wish to be excluded from PC-cillin scans
